AusRegistry
AusRegistry is the current Registry operator and wholesale provider for all commercial domain names including .com.au and .net.au and non-commercial domain names, .gov.au and .edu.au. AusRegistry holds a 4 year Registry Licence Agreement with the .au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA). auDA is the policy authority and industry self-regulatory body for the .au domain space and is endorsed by the Australian Government as the appropriate body to administer the .au domain space.
The .au Registry comprises of the following:
- a database of domain names registered in each 2LD
- a public WHOIS service for looking up the identity of the Registrant of a domain name
- the nameservers for each 2LD.
AusRegistry International
Is a wholly owned subsidiary of AusRegistry Pty Ltd.
AusRegistry International commenced operations so as to leverage off AusRegistry's DNS expertise and infrastructure and to provide the platform for innovative usage of this technology.
AusRegistry's reputation for excellence in the area of DNS has lead to the endorsement of government bodies and international companies alike. AusRegistry International's major projects currently include:
- The Australian ENUM Trial
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) awarded AusRegistry International with the Registry services for the ENUM trial in Australia - Registry for Renewable Energy Certificates
The Office for the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) awarded AusRegistry International with the Registry services for Renewable Energy Certificates - .sb
Solomon Telekom selected AusRegistry International to provide the Registry services for the Solomon Islands
